Welcome to the iOS app! Read on to learn how to navigate all the pages.
1. Navigation Row
The navigation row is the row of icons at the bottom of the app. Each icon represents a different page within the app. Tapping the icon switches you to that page.
The 4 main pages of the app are:
- Home
- Activity
- Controls
- Profile
- Device settings (accessed from the Profile page)
- Settings (accessed from the Profile page)
Home
Silent mode: tapping the silent mode icon mutes sounds on the glasses and prevents the touch panel from reading gestures. Great for meetings and movie theaters. Just tap the icon again the bring the glasses out of silent mode.
Bluetooth status: Whether or not the glasses are connected to your phone.
Battery level: Amount of power remaining in your glasses.
Find My Glasses: Tap the magnifying glass icon to use the Find My Glasses feature.
Tap the speaker icon on the Find My Glasses page to play an alarm on the glasses. A loud, audible beeping sound should play on the glasses which will help you locate them when they're lost. To stop the sound, simply tap the speaker icon, hit the back button, or press "I FOUND THEM!"
Camera: Tap the camera icon to use the glasses as a remote-control trigger for taking photos. Your phone will prompt you to verify if you would like to grant Vue access to your camera. Accept to continue.
With Vue's camera mode open, tapping the touch panel will take a picture. See GIF below of some selfie-taking in action!
Activity
Step graph: Your glasses will track your steps taken throughout the day and display the total here. As you make progress toward your step goal, the orange ring will get closer to forming a full circle. You can adjust your step goal in the Profile page.
History: Tap the clock icon on the upper-right of the page to view your historical fitness data. The data can be summarized by days, weeks, months, or years.
Recent Activity: The Recent Activity section, at the bottom of the page, will show data for each hour that you were active, including the calories burned, steps taken, and distance traveled within that hour.
Controls
Touch settings: Choose a gesture and adjust what action you would like to have happen. You can also choose "Do nothing" so that the gesture is deactivated.
Volume: Use the slider to adjust the volume for Vue's on-board assistant and gesture sounds.
- Note: This does not adjust the volume for the audio you stream from your phone. That must be adjusted using your phone's volume settings.
Notification Settings: Turn on/off call and notification forwarding.
When you choose to allow incoming call notifications, your phone will prompt you with a pairing notification. Tap "Pair" to continue.
Experimental Features: A few experimental features we've launched with. Additional experimental features will launch in future app updates. On detection sound is a sound that plays every time you put the glasses on your head.
Profile
The profile page allows you to update the information you provided when you first signed up.
Stand Up Reminder: Vue can also help encourage you to be more active by providing stand up reminders. To turn this on, click the button seen below.
Set the stand up reminders to the time and days you want them to alert you. When the glasses sense that you haven't moved within the hour, they will issue an alert, saying "It's time to move around!"
Device Settings
To access device settings, go to the Profile page and click on the arrow next to the device (see image below).
Here you can see information about your device, including its serial number and firmware version. You can also check for new firmware updates.
